Pix666: Hello Claudia, Adriano and Alessandro. The most important question right at the beginning. Are you well and are you healthy?
Ash Code: Hello everyone, luckily we’re well in our quarantine.
Pix666: You had a great live-streaming concert a few weeks ago, where your cat played a small part as well. How were the fans’ reactions to the concert in an unfamiliar environment?
Ash Code: The reactions were great, we raised around 2000€ for a local hospital. It wasn’t very easy since we had to set a state at “home” . It was a chaos of cables, and cats were biting everything…
I was worried something could happen for the entire gig!
Pix666: Do you plan more concerts of this kind in the future ?
Ash Code: As probably you know we are behind the Gothicat Festival, yesterday the first edition was a success, the best Darkwave bands joined it and there were around 10.000 people connected at the same time (Facebook and Youtube) and we raised around 6500€ . At this moment it’s very important to use the art to support the fight.
Pix666: When will your next concerts with an audience take place, and do you think that these dates can be kept?
Ash Code: we cancelled a lot of gigs, some were postponed to autumn, next one would be in Koln in the end of August and then USA tour in the middle of September but honestly we don’t know , if they don’t find a cure and a vax in few weeks next concert would be probably in 2021
Pix666: You are from Italy – your country is most affected by the Corona crisis – what is the general mood in the country?
Ash Code: It’s a hard situation, we’re in our fifth week in quarantine and we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, a lot of people are sick of it. Outside there’s summer and everyone wants to go to the sea…
Pix666: Do you believe that this crisis will change the behaviour of humanity in the future?
Ash Code: Currently there’s no way to defeat this virus but we’re learning to live with it.But yes I can’t imagine how a gig would be possible in this situation…
Pix666: What things, apart from being live on stage, do you miss the most at the moment?
Ash Code: We’re healthy at home and we can make music so we can’t complain… a lot of people are dying alone at this moment. Anyway we don’t like the mood of this day, it’s not easy to write music too.
Pix666: Do you have any other news about Ash Code that you would like to share with the fans?
Ash Code: we’re working on a new LP and on a lot of remixes, so in the next months you’ll listen to news songs!
