written by Marko Jakob

Pix666: Hello Lena. Thanks for your time. You’ve just been on a big tour with your band in the USA – so I think you’re doing well, aren’t you?

Lena: Doing fantastic, thank you!

Pix666: What were the best experiences on this tour?

Lena: Honestly the shows themselves. It’s just been too long, we all missed it so much!

Pix666: You are from Moldova, like the football team Sheriff Tiraspol, which is conquering the hearts of football fans in Europe. Do you think Infected Rain are also on their way to the top? Well, I certainly hope so.

Lena: I think Infected rain is happy with every single heart we can concur 🙂

Pix666: You recently signed with the well-known booking agency Napalm Events and the label Napalm Records. How much does that help your band to have such experienced and strong partners at your side?

Lena: It helps a lot to have professional tram of people working with you and having the same goals.

Pix666: A few days ago your single ‘Postmortem Pt. 1’ was released. What is the song about and has there been any feedback from the fans?

Lena: The feedback is absolutely fantastic. People love the song and the visuals. It is a song with a very powerful message. It is about a lost soul, a soul that is very confused and stagnant. Wrong values and wrong choices in life make this soul constantly unhappy and depressed.

Pix666: In January 2022 your album ‘Ecdysis’ will be released. It is already your fifth album. Are there any significant musical differences to the previous albums and can people already pre-order ‘Ecdysis’?

Lena: Yes, Ecdysis is ready to be preordered. It’s a new step in our career, musically and lyrically   a different level but, still the Infected rain that everyone knows.

Pix666: Where did you get your nickname / stage name?

Lena: It was a nickname i got from my friends when I become a hairdresser. They knew how much i loved it:)

Pix666: … and what else did you do before you became a singer and which jobs and projects are you still working on today besides Infected Rain?

Lena: Before Infected rain I was a hair a makeup artist for many years. I never sang in a different band before. Infected Rain become my path and my passion in life. i collaborate with other bands but, i don’t have the projects besides my band.

Pix666: In the past, you have already played at big festivals in Germany, such as Rockharz or Summer Breeze. Can the fans in Europe and especially in Germany hope for an extensive Infected Rain tour in 2022?

Lena: Absolutely! We are planning a lot of fun shows and festivals in the whole world, including Europe in 2022.

Pix666: You have a lot of cool merch in your online shop – how important is everything that happens online and via social media for a band nowadays? Have you noticed a change over the last ten years or so? … and by the way – bring enough merch with you on tour, people will love it 😊

Lena: It is very important, essential I would say. Any type of activities online are helping a band to survive.

Pix666: Do you have any other news about the band or some interesting personal things about you that you would like to share with the fans?

Lena: I would just like to say: Stay tuned because Infected rain is about to release something new every month for a while. We prepared a lot of fun things for you while we were not able to tour.

Pix666: Thank you very much for the interesting answers – Good luck with the new album and stay healthy!!!
